All

  • She ate all delicious food at the party.
    • all放在delicious(形容詞)前面

(All the pizza)
  • 代名詞(it / them):all 必須站在代名詞後面(put it all, take them all)

  • All water is essential.(所有的水都很重要——泛指全世界的水)

    • Juice can be stored in all bottles.(果汁可以裝在所有種類的瓶子裡。)
  • in all of those bottles(特指「那些」特定的瓶子)
    • Was there juice in all of those bottles? 「

  • We are all happy.
  • They all know it.
  • We are all ready to go!
  • He was all wet.
  • We can all wear our new sweaters tomorrow!

all(全部 / 大家)

    1. They all love eating spicy food.(他們全都很愛吃辣。)
    1. The students have all finished their homework.(學生們已經全部寫完作業了。)
    1. We can all learn something from this mistake.(我們大家都可以從這個錯誤中學到東西。)
    1. My friends were all waiting for me at the station.(我的朋友們當時全部在車站等我。)
    1. The lights are all turned off.(燈全部都關掉了。)

  • I got all three reports.
  • all three reports(全部這三份報告)
  • all five fingers(全部五隻手指頭)
  • all the books(全部這些書)

  • Put it all together.(把它們全部拼起來)
  • ❌ 不能說:Put all it together.

  • We need to invite them all now!
  • Now we can put it all together.

all(形容詞) + 時間名詞

  • All afternoon:
    • I studied all afternoon yesterday.
  • All night
    • He stayed up all night playing games.
  • All morning:
    • She was in meetings all morning.
  • all day
    • Why were you at school all day yesterday? (Time)
  • Why were you at school all day yesterday?

一整天 the whole day vs throughout the day

  • throughout the day(一整天當中/貫穿全天)
Students are busy throughout the day.(學生們一整天都很忙碌。)
  • all day(整天)
    • 例句: It rained all day.(下了一整天的雨。)
  • the whole day(完整的一整天)
I spent the whole day cleaning the house.(我花了一整天打掃房子。)

All of + the / these / those/ 所有格(my,your)

「這群/那群東西的全部」時,習慣用 all of + the / these / those/ 所有格(my,your) + 可數名詞(加s)/不可數名詞 的結構。

  • I poured all of the juice in the kitchen sink.
  • was there juice in all of those bottles?
  • All of the pizza is gone.(所有的披薩都吃光了。)
  • all of these books(這些書的全部)
  • all of those people(那些人的全部)
  • all of those bottles(那些瓶子的全部)
  • All of my friends are here.(我所有的朋友都在這裡。)
  • All of the dogs.
  • All of the models are wearing high heels.

All of them(受格)

  • All of them came to the party.(他們全部都來派對了。)
  • Some of them are my friends.(他們當中的一些人是我的朋友。)

All + the + 名詞 口語會省略of

  • And I want all my friends to come!
  • All the pizza is gone.
  • Put all the pieces together.(把全部的碎片拼起來)
  • I know all the roads in this city.
  • This phone knows all the roads in every city.
  • All the water is gone.(所有的水都沒了。)
  • And all the stores are closed.

  • All is ready.
  • All agreed.
    • 這裡的 all 代表「所有人(all of us / everyone)」,直接當作動詞的主詞。
  • I know all about it.
  • I ate all. all是代名詞
  • All is well
    • All(所有事情)+ is(是)+ well(安好的/沒問題的)。

    • I ate all the apples.(我吃了所有的蘋果。 → 修飾 apples)
    • They all ate apples.(他們全都吃了蘋果。 )
    • I ate all.(我全部都吃了。

一、什麼是 all of(全部、其中的全部)?

all of 後面通常會接「有範圍限定的特定名詞」(前面一定要有 the, these, those 或所有格 my, your 等)。

  • 常見句型:all of + the / these / those / my + 名詞複數(或不可數名詞)
    1. I drank all of the milk.(我喝光了那瓶牛奶的全部。)
    2. All of my friends love music.(我所有的朋友都愛音樂。)
    3. She ate all of those cookies.(她吃光了那些餅乾的全部。)

⚠️ 口語小常識:在日常對話中,如果是接名詞,all of 裡的 of 常常會被省略(例如說 all the milk、all my friends)。但如果後面接的是代名詞(them, us, you),of 絕對不能省略,一定要說 all of them(它們全部)。

二、什麼是 some of(一些、其中的一部分)?

  • 加 of(必須加 of):當你想從「一個特定的群體、特定的範圍」中挑出「全部(all)」或「一些(some)」時,就必須使用 all of 或 some of!

  • 常見句型:some of + the / these / those / my + 名詞複數(或不可數名詞)
    1. Some of the students are playing outside.(學生之中有一些人正在外面玩。)
    2. I want to eat some of those apples.(我想吃那些蘋果裡面的其中一些。)
    3. Some of my money is missing.(我的一部分錢不見了。)

📊 all of vs some of 快速對照表

all of … All of the books are new.(所有書都是新的)
some of … Some of the books are old.(有些書是舊的)
