such 形容詞

such 是一個很好用但常常讓人混淆的字。它的核心意思是「這樣的」、「如此的」、「像這類的」。

根據它在句子裡放的位置，主要有以下三種最常見的用法：

像 such、quite、rather 這類具有修飾限定功能的詞，也都是必須站在冠詞 a 或 an 的前面：

such：

• 正確： It is such a nice day.（今天真是個好天氣。）
• 錯誤： It is a such nice day. (X) quite：
• 正確： She is quite a good player.（她是一個相當優秀的選手。）
• 錯誤： She is a quite good player. (X)

such + 冠詞(a/ an / the) + 名詞（「如此……的」）

• It is such a beautiful day.（今天天氣真是如此美好。）
• She is such a smart student.（她是一個如此聰明的學生。）

用來指代前面提過的事物（「像這樣的……」）

它可以當作代名詞或形容詞，意思是「這種人、這種事、這樣的情形」。

• I have never seen such a big car.（我從沒見過這麼大的車。）
• I hate such behavior.（我討厭這種行為。）

such … that … 句型（「如此……以至於……」）

這是一個非常實用的高級句型，用來表達「某個狀況太誇張了，導致了後面的結果」。
