at/in 醫院

• at the hospital 在醫院的地點
  • I am at the hospital.我人在醫院這個地方（可能去探病、上班)
• in the hospital（在醫院住院）
  • He is in the hospital recovering from surgery.（他正在醫院住院，動完手術恢復中。）

at + 狀態

• at home（在家 / 在家休息）
  • I just want to stay at home tonight.（我今晚只想待在家。）

at + 可以數「一場一場」的用a

• at a party（在參加派對）
  • She met her boyfriend at a party.（她在一個派對上認識她男友的。）
  • She is at a party.（她在參加一個派對。）
• at a concert（在聽演唱會 / 音樂會）
  • It’s too noisy here; I’m at a concert.（這裡太吵了，我在聽演唱會。）

at 地點

• at the airport（在機場）
  • We just arrived at the airport.（我們剛抵達機場。）
• at the station（在車站 / 火車站 / 地鐵站）
  • I’ll meet you at the station.（我們車站見。）
• at the gym（在健身房）
  • He goes to work out at the gym every morning.（他每天早上都去健身房運動。）

in + 狀態

當我們用 in 時，大腦畫面是「被四周的牆壁、邊界包覆在裡面」，或是正處於某種「長期維持的身份狀態」。
bed 此時是抽象名詞，不可數名詞，不能用a 跟 the。

• in bed（在床上睡覺 / 賴床）
  • She is in bed.她在睡覺/賴床
  • She was still in bed at 11 AM.（她早上11點了居然還在床上躺著。）

坐牢 prison抽象概念名詞，不可數名詞，不需要加 a，跟the

• in prison/in jail（在坐牢）
  • He is in prison.他在坐牢
• in love
  • He is in love. 戀愛中
  • Enzo is in love with me.(Enzo愛上我了)

比賽，一場比賽要加a

• We are in a game.（我們正在進行一場比賽。）

• in the kitchen（在廚房裡）
  • Mom is cooking in the kitchen.（媽媽正在廚房裡煮飯。）

in 交通工具

小車計程車(空間狹小，你只能「坐著被包覆在裡面」，無法站立行走。)

• in a taxi/ in a car
  • I’m in a taxi right now, I’ll be there in 10 mins.（我現在在計程車上，10分鐘內到。）
  • Bea is in a taxi.

on 交通工具

「你可以站起來走動的大型大眾運輸工具」，一律用 on

• on the bus 在公車
• on the train 火車
• on a plane 飛機上

by（極度貼近的距離），常用於表達情感上的陪伴。
