come from

• Where does the apple come from?
  • 這一顆蘋果(單數)是那來的？問來源，也可以回答是某個產地，但也可能是超市買來？便利商店？你媽給的？
• Where does this kind of apple come from?
  • 這一顆蘋果的種類(單數)是來自那個產地
• Where does this kind of apples come from?
  • 這些蘋果的「種類」是來自那個產地
• Where does this kind of rice come from?
  • 這個「種類」的米(不可數名詞，不加s)是來自那個產地

助動詞does/do是跟著kind，助動詞不是跟著蘋果或米。

若有二個種類的蘋果

• Where do these two kinds of apples come from?
  • 這二種蘋果是來自那個產地，可能有一大堆蘋果，但一種是華盛頓蘋果，一種是青森蘋果。
  • 回答:They come from Japan and the US.因為有二種，不能用It，要用They

若有很多種類的蘋果，把數字two去掉。

• Where DO these kinds of apples come from?

• 單數問： Where DOES this kind of rice come from?(這個種類的米從那來？)
  • 答： It COMES from Thailand.（It 搭配動詞加 s）
• 複數問： Where DO these kinds of rice come from?（例如：桌上有泰國香米、日本越光米、台灣池上米好幾堆)
  • 答： They COME from Thailand and Japan.（They 搭配原形動詞）

咖啡 + from

• This coffee comes from Africa.这个咖啡来自非洲。
  • 咖啡已經是最底層的製作產品，不會再問種類What kind of coffee，直接問源頭from是來自那裡。

be + from

若想用be動詞 + from = come from，都是問產地，以下都是同樣意思，只有單複數之分。

• Where is this apple from?(蘋果單數)
  • 這一棵蘋果來自那裡？(通常be from是問產地)
• Where are these apples from?(蘋果複數)
  • 這堆蘋果來自那裡？(通常be from是問產地)
• Where is this kind of apple from?(種類單數，蘋果單數)
  • 「這一棵」蘋果的種類來自那裡？
• Where is this kind of apples from?(種類單數，蘋果複數)
  • 這堆蘋果，只有一個種類，這「一個種類」是來自那裡？
• Where are these kinds of apples from?(種類複數，蘋果複數)
  • 這堆蘋果有「很多」的種類，這些種類分別是來自那裡？
• Where are these two kinds of apples from?(種類複數，蘋果複數)
  • 「這堆」蘋果有「二個」種類，這二個種類分別是來自那裡？

形容詞 + kinds of 各種各樣

all(形)所有種類、different各種(形)、many許多(形)都是複數，所以kind後面要加上s。

• all kinds of…（各種各樣的）
  • I like all kinds of music. （我喜歡各種各樣的音樂) 音樂不可數
• different kinds of…（不同種類的）
  • There are many different kinds of people in the world.世界上有許多不同種類的人
• many kinds of…（許多種類的）
  • There are many kinds of animals in the zoo.（動物園裡有許多種動物。）

come from vs. is from 問產地

因為coffee已經是產出的產品了，所以不加kind of種類。

問句:

• Does this coffee come from Africa? 回答:
• This coffee comes from Africa.

問句:

• Is this coffee from Africa?

• What kind of party do you want.你想要「那一種」舞會？
  • 預計回答只有一種，因為kind沒加s

A kind of + 可數/不可數名詞 一種

a kind of + 可數/不可數名詞

kind 在這裡當名詞，意思是「種類」。前面的 a 是修飾 kind（一種）。

• a kind of dog（一種狗）可數
• a kind of music（一種音樂）不可數
• a kind of fruit（一種水果）不可數
• a kind of feeling（一種感覺）不可數

形容詞 + kind of + 名詞

kind 前面可以加形容詞！

• 只有「一種」時，kind不加S：

• 有多種、不同的、或者是許多種時，它就必須變成複數形 kinds：

  • Many kinds of candy.（多種糖果）
  • Several kinds of fruit. 幾種
