tourS 導覽總稱

這裡的 tours 並不是指「單單某一次」的導覽，而是指這種「觀光導覽服務/行程方案」的總稱。

• boat tours（遊船行程總稱）
  • 遊船有很多家公司、很多種不同的路線（例如：黃昏晚餐船、下午茶船、景點導覽船等），所以用複數tours 來涵蓋市場上各種不同的遊船行程。

只想指「某一次」特定的泰晤士河遊船，你就可以把 s 去掉，冠詞給成a或the。

• We booked a River Thames boat tour for tomorrow.（我們預訂了明天的一場泰晤士河遊船之旅。）

A tour vs tours

• 單數（a tour): We are going on a tour tomorrow.
  • 指的是「某一場特定、單次」的導覽。
• 複數（tours 總稱）The company specializes in boat tours.
  • 指的是這家公司專門經營「遊船這種業務/類型的行程」（泛指通稱）。

on a 名詞 (在…過程中) 副詞

副詞的主要工作之一，就是回答動詞發生的「時間、地方、狀況、原因」等背景資訊，在什麼情況下，發生了什麼事

要加 a 的（強調這是一趟旅程/行程），只要加上 a，名詞通常會變成一個「具體的事件、任務、或一段小歷程」

• on a trip（在旅行途中）
  • Charlie got lost on a trip.(查理在旅行中迷路了。)
• on a ride (在搭車的過程中)
  • Charlie lost his wallet on a ride. 搭車途中弄丟了他的錢包。
• on a ride (在搭遊樂設施的過程中)
  • Charlie lost his wallet on a ride. Charlie 在玩遊樂設施時把錢包弄丟了
• on a tour
  • Charlie lost his wallet on a tour. （查理在跟團導覽/參觀途中弄丟了他的錢包。）
  • We met a lot of interesting people on the tour. （我們在這次的導覽/行程中遇到了很多有趣的人。）
• on a journey（在旅途中／在歷程中）
  • Charlie lost his wallet on a journey. （查理在旅途中弄丟了他的錢包。）
  • Life is a journey, not a destination. （人生是一場旅程，而不是終點）

on + 時間所有格形容詞 + 名詞

• On today’s tour (在今天這場導覽中)
  • On today’s tour, you’ll see Big Ben.(在今天的導覽中，各位會看到大笨鐘。)

on the + 名詞 + 時間副詞後位修飾

• On the tour today (在今天這場導覽中)
  • On the tour today, you’ll see Big Ben.(在今天的導覽中，各位會看到大笨鐘。)

on a 名詞 + 名詞 = 複合名詞

名詞前面有形容詞，原本有the，就換成a。

• 原本: on the tour (在這場導覽中)
• 名詞前加形容詞: on a walking tour(在這場健行團中)
  • 換成a，刪掉the
• on a boat（在船上 / 搭船）單純描述你人此時此刻在哪裡、或是用什麼方式移動。
  • I am on a boat right now.（我現在人在船上。）
  • We traveled on a boat.（我們是坐船旅行的。）
• on a boat tour (在一次乘船導覽的過程中)
  • We can see the River Thames on a boat tour.我們可以在遊船之旅中看到泰晤士河。
• on a walking tour（在徒步導覽行程中）

sightseeing tour 觀光旅遊/導覽行程

當你去一個新的城市或景點時，參加這種由專人帶領、或是搭乘專車（例如常見的雙層觀光巴士 bus tour）繞著城市著名地標參觀的行程，就叫做 sightseeing tour。
