強調「此時此刻、眼前正在展現的狀態與努力」

  • You’re trying very hard! （你現在真的很努力！）我能感覺到你正在非常努力
  • You’re doing great!（你現在表現得很棒！）
  • You’re working so hard!（你現在工作好努力喔！）

soon

  • 詞性： 時間副詞（Adverb）
  • 核心意義： 「不久、很快、快要」。
  • 常見擺放位置：
    • 副詞通常放在句子的最後面，作為時間的補充說明。
      • Dinner will be ready soon.
    • 動詞片語之間：有時也會放在助動詞與動詞之間
      • He will soon arrive.
  • 意思是「不久的將來」，所以它經常跟未來式（will）或現在進行式搭檔出現。

Do you want to + 動詞 … + soon?

  • Do you want to have dinner again soon?改天（不久後）一起吃晚餐
    • 現在式
    • want 為當下的意願／計畫 : 你現在心裡有沒有這個意願／想不想…？
    • soon 不久之後，限定發生的時間點
  • Do you want to meet up soon?（你這陣子想找個時間碰面嗎？）
  • Do you want to watch a movie soon?（你最近想去看電影嗎？）

be going to + 地點 (馬上就要出發)

這裡的be going是現在進行式，意思是「正在出發去」

這裡的 “to” 是介係詞（後面接地方）， to 純粹是介係詞「朝向、去到」的意思。

當一個計畫是「已經安排好、等一下馬上就要出發」的時候，老外非常習慣直接用現在進行式來表達未來。

確定的近期未來計畫

soon（不久、快要）： 這個字明確指出這件事是將來才會發生

只要看到 soon（不久）、tomorrow（明天）、tonight（今晚）、in two hours（兩小時後），它就等於幫你按了免責聲明：這件事還沒發生，是接下來要做的。

  • Ben is driving to Miami soon. 本（Ben）不久後就要開車去邁阿密了。
  • Ben is driving to Miami tomorrow.（明天要開車去 → 計劃）
  • Our flight is arriving in two hours.班機在2小時後抵達
  • We’re getting on this train soon. 我們很快就要上這班火車了。
  • I am leaving tomorrow.（我明天要離開 → 行程已定。）
  • We are meeting them tonight.（我們今晚要跟他們見面 → 約好了。）

最近這段期間

  • What classes are you taking now?(你最近上什麼課)
  • He is working at the same college now! 他目前這段期間、最近這陣子在同一所大學工作！
  • She is asking about the job.（她最近在打聽這份工作的事。）
  • he’s asking those questions to everyone in our class(代表這陣子、這幾天，他「正在對大家問這些問題」。)

現在進行式表達「近期暫時的狀態」

  • I am staying with my friend this week.（我這星期暫時跟我朋友住在一起 → 不是永久的。）
  • He is working from home today.（他今天在家上班 → 今天的暫時安排。）
