Stay
Stay 就是不動、不離開、維持現狀。
stay 後面接形容詞時，意思是「維持在某個狀態不變」，相當於 keep。
- stay + 地方（待在某地）：Stay home.（待在家裡）
- stay + 形容詞（保持某種狀態）：Stay safe.（保持安全）
stay 停留
stay 中，它的核心概念是「維持在某個範圍、狀態或軌道中不離開」，而不是絕對的靜止不動。
stay 在這裡管的是「範圍 / 邊界」，而不是限制你的動作不能移動！
- Always stay on the paths.隨時走在小徑上。
- 它不是叫你：「站在小徑上不準動！」而是叫你：「在移動（健行）的過程中，要一直待在小徑的範圍內，不要走到旁邊去。」
- Stay on the paths.「待在」小徑範圍內不要走出去（強調不離開那個界線）。
- Stay in the lane.(開車時維持在車道內)
stay together
當它跟 together（在一起）結合變成 stay together 時，意思就是「保持在一起」或「繼續在一起」。
- Stay together = 保持在一起 / 不分開
- We’re staying together?（我們這是要一直在一起了嗎？
- Can we stay together?（我們能一直在一起嗎？）
- They decided to stay together.（他們決定繼續在一起。）
Stay + 形容詞 (維持狀態不變)
自己維持現狀、不改變，指人或事物自己維持在某個狀態。
- Please stay calm.（請保持冷靜 —— 指的是「維持」當下這個不慌亂的狀態不要變。）
- Stay safe!（保重／注意安全！）

Stay(保持) + away在遠處
- Stay away from there!待在遠處不要過來！

其它常用:
- Stay behind：留下來（在別人走之後，你「保持」在「後面」）。
- Stay out：待在外面 / 別插手（「保持」在「外面」）。
- Stay in：待在家裡 / 不出門（「保持」在「裡面」）。
stay in（待在室內 / 待在家裡）
- I want to stay in tonight.（我今晚想待在家裡（不出門）。）
- It’s raining, so let’s stay in.（外面在下雨，所以我們待在室內吧。）
stay with 陪伴、留下來（情感或互動）
- She doesn’t have to stay with me.你不需要留下來陪我。
- I’ll be fine. You don’t need to stay with me. （我會很好的。你不需要留下來陪我。）
- Thanks for staying with me through the hard times. （謝謝你在我低潮時一直陪著我。）
stay with 借住
- You can stay with me when you visit Taipei. （你來台北玩的時候，可以住在我家。）
- She is staying with her parents for the weekend. （她這週末要跟父母住在一起／回老家住。）
Stay(動詞) 停留（物理上的待著）
指人或物沒有離開某個空間，停留在某處、停留多久
- Let’s stay a little longer.（我們再待一下子吧。）
- I will stay for three days.（我要待三天。 → 強調時間）
- Please stay here.（請待在這裡。）
- I will stay at home today.（我今天會待在家裡。）
stay at (假期短暫居住）
- We stayed at a nice hotel.（我們住在一家不錯的飯店。 → 飯店前面用 at，而不是 in）
stay in 國定 停留、待（在某個地方）
指你在某個地方（例如：英國、飯店、朋友家）住了幾天、待了多久，而不是指永久定居。
- I want to stay in Japan.（我想待在日本。）
- They’ll stay in Canada next year.他们明年会留在加拿大。
- Emma usually stays in the library at night.
- We stayed in a small town in California last summer.
- How many days did you stay in the UK?你在英國待了多少天？

- stay at + 飯店/地方：指「投宿、寄宿在某處」
- I stayed at a nice hotel.（我住在一家不錯的飯店。）
Stay(名詞) 停留、停留的時間、居留
our stay：「我們的停留／我們待在那裡的期間」
- How was your stay?（你這趟住宿／停留得還愉快嗎？ → 名詞）
- We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.（我們很享受在飯店停留的這段時間。 → 名詞）
- We met a lot of interesting people during our stay in Japan. 在我們於日本停留的期間。
