Stay(動詞) 停留在某處、停留多久
- I will stay for three days.（我要待三天。 → 強調時間）
- Please stay here.（請待在這裡。）
- I want to stay in Japan.（我想待在日本。）
stay (假期短暫居住）
- We stayed at a nice hotel.（我們住在一家不錯的飯店。 → 飯店前面用 at，而不是 in）

其它常用:
- Stay behind：留下來（在別人走之後，你「保持」在「後面」）。
- Stay out：待在外面 / 別插手（「保持」在「外面」）。
- Stay in：待在家裡 / 不出門（「保持」在「裡面」）。

- I want to stay in tonight.（我今晚想待在家裡（不出門）。）
- It’s raining, so let’s stay in.（外面在下雨，所以我們待在室內吧。）

指你在某個地方（例如：英國、飯店、朋友家）住了幾天、待了多久，而不是指永久定居。
