else 總是乖乖地黏在 what/who/where 或是 something/anything 的後面！

類別一：搭配「疑問詞」（What, Who, Where, When…）

用來追問「除了這個之外，還有…嗎？」

• What else did you buy at the supermarket? （你在超級市場裡還買了其他什麼東西？）
• Who else is coming to the party tonight? （今晚的派對除了我們，還有誰要來？）
• Where else can we look for the lost keys? （除了這裡，我們還能去哪裡找那把遺失的鑰匙？）
• How else can we solve this problem? （我們還能用什麼其他的方法來解決這個問題？）

類別二：搭配「不定代詞」（Something, Anything, Nothing, Someone…）

用來指「其他的事物、別人、或別的地方」

• I want to try something else on the menu. （我想試試看菜單上別的東西。）
• Is there anything else you need me to do? （還有任何其他的事需要我幫忙嗎？——這句職場或服務業超常用！）
• If he doesn’t know the answer, ask someone else. （如果他不知道答案，去問別人吧。）
• We have nowhere else to go tonight. （我們今晚沒有其他地方可去了。）

類別三：用在否定或對比（Or else…）

當作連接詞，用來表達「否則、要不然」

• Hurry up, or else we will miss the train. （快一點，否則我們會趕不上火車。）
• Be quiet, or else the baby will wake up. （安靜一點，要不然寶寶會醒來。）

💡 核心複習小撇步 前 8 個例句都是 「疑問詞／不定代詞 ＋ else」，只要記得 else 永遠要擺在後面（例如：anything else，不能講 else anything）。 第 9、10 句的 “or else” 則是固定片語，意思是「不然的話」，很適合用來警告或提醒別人喔！
