think + 子句 (認為)

主詞 + think + that可省略 + (完整子句)

• why do you think that?為什麼你這麼覺得？
• Why do you think that he wants…(為什麼你覺得他想要…？)
• Why do you think he wants…(為什麼你覺得他想要…？)
• Do you think I need to change my tire?你覺得我需要換輪胎嗎？
• I think he won’t be angry.
• I think it’s OK to eat one slice.
• I think I know why she broke up with you.

think about + 名詞

• Are you thinking about the problem at work?你在想那个工作上的问题吗？
• Are you thinking about that problem?你在想那个问题吗？
• I need to think about the date of the next meeting.我需要想想下一次 会议的日期。

thought 以為

用 thought（過去式）代表「過去認為」，但實際上並不是這樣。

• I thought he loved me.我以為他愛我，但其實沒有。(注意，loved也是過去式)
• It’s cheaper than I thought.（比我想像的還要便宜 → 以為很貴，結果結帳時發現很便宜。）
• He is nicer than I thought.（他比我想像的還要好人 → 以為他很兇，接觸後發現人很好。）
• English is far easier than I thought. 英文比我想像中的容易。
  • 用 thought（過去式） 而不是 think（現在式），是因為「覺得很難」的那個時刻已經過去了。
  • 因為「想像」這件事發生在過去，所以要用過去式 thought。
